What’s New at Shopify?

In April 2023, we released a feature to allow Plus merchants to provision POS access in their Organization Settings. This removed the need to do so for indivudal users at a shop level and wait for their account activation.

In October 2023, we reduced the permissions required for the initial POS login, but this was not yet available for Plus Roles, and had to be assigned at each shop level for each individual user.

With our latest release, we have added this ability to grant the login permission in the Organization Settings, allowing for bulk assignment via Plus Roles, and removing the need to manage at the shop user level.
