What’s New at Shopify?

Previously, the Themes permission within Online store gave full edit access to staff, including both editing a store theme through the theme editor, and modifying the code directly through the code editor.

With the new Edit code permission, merchants can decide who gets access to the code editor. The Edit code permission does NOT gate access to the CLI tool, which is still controlled through the Themes permission.

Before, staff needed the Manage settings permission to access Taxes and duties and Policies under Settings. Now, there are separate permissions for each.
