Now you can find POS receipt numbers from an order's details page in both web and mobile.

By using receipt numbers instead of order numbers for customer receipts, Shopify has made notable improvements to the speed of POS checkouts. When your in-person customers can check out faster, it's good for everyone!

You can find the receipt number in the header area of each POS order from your Shopify admin and from the Shopify Mobile app.
