POS activity log
Introducing the new POS activity log. Keep your team accountable and your store secure. Now high-risk action at the register is logged to a named staff member, with the time, device, and location captured automatically. Use the new sPOS activity log to investigate discrepancies, support loss prevention, and meet compliance requirements at scale.
What's logged
* Cash drawer operations including open, add cash, remove cash, and mid-session counts
* Manual discount applied to a cart or line item
* Transaction voids
* Returns and refunds
* Customer record access
* Manager overrides captured alongside the action they approved
Where to find it
A new setting page in the POS channel in Shopify Admin, lists events with filters for staff, location, and event type.
Renames and customer record deletions are reflected automatically. Staff and customer names are resolved at read time, so historical entries always show current values without leaving stale PII behind.
