What’s New at Shopify?

Tap to Pay on iPhone with Shopify POS is now available beyond the United States with support now launched in Australia, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

With Tap to Pay on iPhone and Shopify POS, in-person sellers can accept contactless payments with just an iPhone—no additional hardware or card readers required. Tap to Pay on iPhone uses the near-field communication (NFC) chip in iPhone to process payments from contactless cards and digital wallets like Apple Pay. Payments accepted with Tap to Pay on iPhone are processed by Shopify Payments and are subject to standard credit card processing fees.

Tap to Pay on iPhone uses the built-in security and privacy features of iPhone to keep your business data private and secure. When a payment is processed, Apple doesn’t store card numbers or PIN information on the device or Apple servers, so you can rest assured know your business stays yours.
