What’s New at Shopify?

As of July 30, 2024 UnionPay and JCB cards can be used with Shopify card readers in Canada and the United States. Card readers include Shopify Go, POS Terminal, WisePad3, Tap & Chip, and Chipper 2XBT card readers paired with Shopify POS. To use Shopify card readers you must be using Shopify Payments.

Card readers will update automatically after the date when paired with a device running Shopify POS and connected to the internet.
